2021 signature project
This project is a great representation of the wide variety of skills and craftsmanship that Alchemy Greenhouse can provide. It shows that a small investment in your homes curb appeal can provide value to your property as well as being a beautiful asset you can enjoy. This home started with a cement walkway, cement steps and overgrown plantings. We installed Liberty Hill ashar veneers and thermal bluestone treads for the stair set , techo bloc blue 60 pavers for the walkway and finished it off with new plantings with a Japanese maple center piece with black mulch.
Retaining wall and shed pad
This customer was having a shed installed in their backyard and the grade was inhibiting installation. Alchemy installed a techo bloc retaining wall with cap and used pressured treated 4x4s to create a level clean stone shed pad.
Brownstone walkway rebase and reset
For this project the customer had a brownstone walkway that was sunken below grade and over grown. We removed all the brownstones and based with 6" of process, re set the brownstones, installed a pressured treated border and filled the gaps with a matching brown pee gravel.
Patio and walkway
For this project Alchemy installed a beautiful patio with walkway. We used shale grey Techo bloc Perisan pavers in a square and rectangle pattern with a charcoal border. We finished it off with boxwood foundation plantings and pee gravel.
Pea gravel pool surround with cobblestone border.
This customer was having a problem getting dirt and debris in their pool. We edged and pruned the landscaping, removed the sod around the pool, installed filter fabric, installed a cobble stone border with beautiful pea gravel that is easy to walk with bare feet and keeps debris from getting in the pool. We finished it off with natural brown mulch to prevent weeds and help the health of the plantings. A huge transformation!
Driveway retaining wall
This home had a failing retaining wall the was also unsightly. We removed the old wall, compacted sub graded, based out 6" of process and installed a Champlain grey techo bloc retaining wall with caps. The native soil was wrapped with filter fabric and 16" of clean stone was installed behind the wall for longevity. We finished it off by installing fresh black mulch in the planting bed.
Grandview walkway retaining wall
Many of the houses in Grandview estates were built above grade and the front planting beds are often steep and have problems with mulch running. Alchemy installed a small Techo bloc retaining wall in sandlewood with caps. Not only did it help improve curb appeal but it solved an ongoing problem of mulch run for the homeowner.
New foundation plantings
This homeowner purchased a house with overgrown plantings that was in serious need of new, simple and organized foundation plantings. Alchemy removed all the old overgrown plantings, installed filter fabric to prevent weed growth, and installed fresh new low maintenance plants with a tree form hydrangea center piece.
Front landscaping
This customers front landscaping was lacking character. We removed all the old stone bedding, installed filter fabric, fresh plantings and red mulch.
Fresh front landscaping and walkway
This customer bought a new house that was in serious need of a front landscaping redo. The stone beds and become overgrown with weeds and the plants where overgrown and out of place. Alchemy removed all the old plantings stone beds and old walkways. Alchemy installed low maintenance and balanced plantings and finished it off with brown mulch. A great example of how an investment in your curb appeal can provide a lucrative return on your property value.
Backyard patio installation
This customer was in need of a more comfortable outdoor living space. We removed excavated the area, compacted sub grade, installed 6" of compacted process and finished it off with Techo bloc Persian in a square and rectangle pattern.
Full color bluestone patio for our greenhouse
Alchemy Greenhouse installed a new full color bluestone patio for our retail greenhouse!
Backyard bluestone patio and retaining wall.
This customer has a great view out their back door but nowhere to enjoy it. We installed a full color bluestone patio, a retaining wall to hold the grade, and a small step up to the screened in porch and a lattice fence to hide the ac unit. The homeowner installed a screen door to the porch after for easy access.
